Work you'll do

As a Software Engineer II on the GPS Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for delivering Appian-based business process solutions that support mission objectives.

  • Support configuration, development, and defect resolution for an Appian replatforming effort replacing legacy capabilities. 
  • Assist with building Appian components, refining user stories, completing unit testing, troubleshooting issues, and supporting releases and sprint delivery. 
  • Collaborate with leads, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into build tasks and ensure the application continues to evolve in line with business priorities. 
  • Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and release support
  • Apply Appian development standards, reusable components, and performance practices to support maintainability and technical quality

  • 3+ years of experience of enterprise application testing/quality assurance
  • 3+ years of experience of functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
  • 3+ years of experience of defect tracking, triage, and retesting
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

  • Appian platform familiarity
  • 1+ year of Appian testing experience
  • Experience testing enterprise workflow or low-code applications
  • Familiarity with test tools such as Jira, Xray, qTest, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with GPS or federal application environments
  • ISTQB or similar certification preferred
