Job description

We are looking for collaborative, growth-minded Software Engineers to join us. Whether your background is in backend systems, modern frontend development, or full-stack delivery, there is a team here where you can grow your skills and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build & Maintain:Develop robust features and components for WellSky solutions, emphasizing code quality, performance, and scalability across the software development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate:Work closely with solution managers, designers, and senior engineers to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-impact features that align with business goals.

  • Troubleshoot & Optimize:Identify and resolve technical issues in development and production environments, debugging applications and performance tuning to improve system scalability.

  • Ensure Code Quality:Prepare technical documentation, actively participate in code reviews, and adhere to industry best practices and internal coding standards.

  • Test for Reliability:Develop and maintain a robust set of automated tests (including unit, integration, and performance testing) to validate software quality.

  • Embrace AI:Leverage AI-assisted development tools and platforms as an integral part of your daily workflow to streamline tasks, enhance decision-making, and drive data-informed outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience in software development.

Preferred Qualifications:

We operate across a wide variety of tech stacks to solve complex problems.You do NOT need experience with all of these to be a great fit.If you have hands-on experience in a few of these areas and a solid understanding of software development principles, our recruiting team will work with you to find the WellSky team that best aligns with your background!

  • Backend:Object-oriented languages such as C#/.NET, Java, or Python.

  • Frontend:Modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular, and TypeScript.

  • Databases:Relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server).

  • Infrastructure & Tools:Linux environments, cloud platforms, Docker, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).

  • Methodologies:Strong working knowledge of Agile development and the SDLC process.

  • AI Tools:Hands-on use of developer copilots or AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) in day-to-day work.

  • Domain Knowledge:Previous experience in the healthcare domain.

Job Expectations:

  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed

  • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
