JOB TITLE: Research SME - AI/ML OD Analysis Pool
LOCATION: Bethesda, Maryland
CLEARANCE: Must have current TS/SCI with CI Poly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attend meetings, workshops, conferences and testing events as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Assist with the development of presentations such as Program Management Reviews.
• Serve as a Liaison between Performers, Test & Evaluation contributors, Government and Transition partners.
• Review, provide analysis, and make recommendations concerning technical reports, data and Performer approaches.
• Select, establish, curate, and maintain collaborative communication, issue tracking, and configuration environments for use by the program.
• Provide reach-back support for program related requirements for systems integration, design, development, modeling and simulation, data analytics and architecture design.
• Examine data sources and literary sources for emerging technology related to the Program.
• Provide technical support and expertise on new concepts beyond the Program but integral to the Program's success.
THRESHOLD (REQUIRED) EXPERTISE:
  • Must have current Top Secret/SCI (Tier 5+) with CI Poly clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, or relevant engineering fields (i.e., electrical, computer, biometrics, systems, mechanical, software) with eight plus (6+) years of work experience in one of these fields, or Masters' degree with two plus (2+) years of work experience.
  • Two (2) years' experience with test-driven development, automated unit testing, and data and configuration management.
  • Two (2) years' experience with R&D of image processing, computer vision, natural language processing, biometrics, and/or software engineering.
  • One (1) years' experience managing multi-disciplinary research and development (R&D) or Test and Evaluation (T&E) teams.
  • One (1) years' experience with R&D of machine learning or deep neural network algorithms.
  • Two (2) years' experience creating program plans, work breakdown structures, and milestone schedules.
  • One (1) years' experience with technical evaluation and assessment techniques.
  • Experience with Agile program management and systems development processes, including integrated testing.
  • The writing sample shall not exceed one (1) page and shall demonstrate the ability to communicate technical content (The sample may not be from a co-authored paper. As an example, the writing sample may be from a technical memo, technical email, thesis, or originally).

OBJECTIVE (DESIRED) EXPERTISE (THE ITEMS BELOW ARE PRIORITIZED IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
  • Masters' degree or PhD in physics, mathematics, computer science, or relevant engineering fields (i.e., electrical, computer, biometrics, systems, mechanical, software) with four plus (4+) years of work experience.
  • Two (2) years' experience in the development of image and video analytics.
  • Two (2) years' experience in the Intelligence Community (IC), including experience with requirements, CONOPS, and transition.
  • Two (2) years' experience with planning, organizing, and executing field data collections.
  • SaFE Scaled Agilist (SA) certification, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scrum Master, or other agile management certification.
  • Two (2) years' experience with utilization, development and management of commercial cloud environments.
  • One (1) years' experience as a Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager.
  • One (1) year of work experience in any, some, or all of the following technical skills areas: remote sensing; image compression; audio processing; geolocation; biometrics; signal processing; enhancement of Noisy and/or Degraded data and metadata; classified research; probability and/or operations Research; statistical analysis.
