Job Overview
The Neuroscience Department- Georgetown University is seeking a research assistant to support and participate in ongoing scientific investigations concerning the changes to the brain that occur after traumatic brain injury (TBI). This position is central to the operation of the laboratory, and the chosen applicant will be able to independently run advanced research activities
Additional duties include,but are not limited to:

• Molecular biology
• Biochemistry
• Immunochemistry
• Mouse TBI surgery
• Mouse behavior
• Data collection and analysis

Work Interactions
The Position is for a Research Assistant. The RA will be a direct report to the lab PI and to the lab senior postdoc. There are no direct reports to this RA.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have a BS degree in a biological field, and a minimum of 6 months experience in a research lab. The job requires a 'team player' with technical dexterity, dedication, creativity, organization, and a genuine excitement about Neuroscience research.

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$18.40 - $27.09
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
