This role focuses on designing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions within an Agile DevOps environment. You will be responsible for thorough test coverage, writing and debugging automated scripts, executing exploratory testing, and validating software functionality across the web and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Job Requirements)

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Support the design, development, and testing of software products with a focus on quality engineering and automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases, test scripts, and test suites for web, and web service/API applications based on business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and utilize AI-assisted development and code assistant tools, where appropriate, to improve software testing efficiency and automation effectiveness. Experience with such tools is beneficial.

  • Configure and maintain automated test environments using externalized configuration, parameterization, and secure credential management to enable execution across development, test, staging, and production-like environments.
  • Integrate UI and API automation into CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies to support continuous testing and continuous delivery.
  • Perform cross-browser, cross-device, accessibility, database, and backend validation testing, including SQL query development and execution to verify data integrity and application functionality.
  • Support testing of applications deployed in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, including cloud-hosted applications, cloud-native services, integrations, logging, monitoring, and distributed application architectures.
  • Identify, analyze, document, and track software defects, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues using test results, application logs, and cloud monitoring tools, providing clear and actionable recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with software developers, DevOps engineers, cloud engineers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure high-quality software delivery and continuous process improvement.

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, environment-agnostic automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using reusable, configurable, and parameterized test components.
  • Knowledge of API and web service testing, including REST, SOAP, GraphQL, authentication and authorization, contract validation, and API security testing.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools to support automated testing within modern software development lifecycles.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-native application testing, including cloud architecture fundamentals, microservices, containerized applications, distributed systems, cloud logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose application, integration, database, and cloud-related issues using logs, monitoring tools, and test results.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to software quality, customer requirements, and continuous process improvement.
