About the Opportunity

Search Station is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client, a regional hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform high‑quality mammography exams and deliver reliable diagnostic imaging. This role applies advanced principles, theories, and techniques of mammography while maintaining patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. The Mammography Tech works collaboratively with imaging staff, physicians, and clinical support teams to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program — required
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and Mammography — required
  • Current Oregon Radiologic Technologist License — required
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) — required
  • Image Wisely pledge certificate — preferred (must obtain within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter)
  • Image Gently pledge certificate — preferred (must obtain within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree — highly preferred
  • One year of previous mammography experience — required
  • Experience in stereo biopsy — preferred
Scope of Work
  • Perform a variety of mammography exams following established protocols and safety standards
  • Apply principles and techniques of mammography imaging to produce high‑quality diagnostic results
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, comfort, and safety throughout imaging procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate independent judgment with minimal supervision
  • Operate imaging equipment, PACS, and applicable software systems
  • Demonstrate proficiency with personal computers and office equipment relevant to the role
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdepartmental staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Ensure consistent, punctual attendance at assigned work location
  • Support departmental workflow and collaborate with imaging team members
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and quality assurance procedures
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications
