Title: QA Lead/ Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage QA activities across multiple projects within child welfare or human services systems
  • Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices
  • Perform and oversee manual testing (functional, regression, system, UAT support)
  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts
  • Review requirements, design documents, and user stories to ensure testability
  • Coordinate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide QA team members; conduct reviews and performance feedback
  • Manage defect tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards (including documentation and audit readiness)
  • Provide QA metrics, status reports, and risk assessments to leadership
  • Support release management and production validation activities

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (Manual + Automation)
  • Prior experience in Child Welfare, Human Services, or Government/Public Sector projects
  • Strong hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, UFT, or similar)
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience leading or managing QA teams
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work onsite or hybrid in the Sacramento, CA area
