OVERVIEW
- We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer
- In this role, you will be testing software AND managing the formal technical acceptance of critical deliverables handed over by external software vendors.
- You will ensure all vendor-provided code, container images, and AI engine deployments meet strict contractual criteria, performance standards, and security architectures before they are deployed to production.
- This is a high-visibility position that bridges technical software testing with structured vendor management.
What You Will Do Day-to-Day
- Review Vendor Deliverables: Evaluate incoming vendor software, code packages, and AI deployments against documented statement of work (SOW) guidelines to issue formal acceptance or actionable defect lists.
- API & Core Testing: Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for platform backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to validate end-to-end event flows.
- AI Quality Evaluation: Develop testing frameworks to measure and monitor AI engine output quality and inference accuracy against defined benchmarks.
- Lead User Acceptance (UAT): Coordinate and facilitate UAT cycles with internal service stakeholders and pilot users to gather structured feedback on user-facing interfaces.
- Manage Bug Triage Workflows: Oversee the Jira bug lifecycle—logging Tier 2 issues, tracking vendor resolution times against SLA tiers, and reporting quality metrics to program leadership.
- Regression & Environment Testing: Perform regression testing on new container images and collaborate with cloud engineers to configure accurate test environments within GCP.
What We Are Looking For (Required) --- APPLY ONLY IF YOU MEET THE REQUREMENTS:
- Experience: 4+ years of professional software quality assurance experience, specifically working with cloud-native applications.
- API Testing: 3–5 years of experience validating API test cases and request/response contracts using tools like Postman, pytest, or REST-assured.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): 2–5 years of hands-on experience navigating GCP services (such as Pub/Sub, BigQuery, GCS, or Cloud Run) and testing containerized applications.
- Vendor & Contractual QA: Proven background performing formal deliverables acceptance reviews against documented business/contractual criteria.
- Testing & Tools: Strong proficiency in authoring traceable test cases, running regression/smoke tests, and utilizing Jira for advanced dashboard metrics and workflow management.
- UAT Coordination: Demonstrated success planning and executing UAT programs with real end users.
Top Preferred Skills
- Experience evaluating LLM or AI engine outputs for consistency and prompt regression.
- Familiarity with Dynatrace or similar Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools for observability testing.
- Experience applying shift-left testing principles and owning quality gates within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience running performance, stress, or load testing on high-volume APIs.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent formal QA methodologies training.
