Responsibilities

  • Develops and/or assists in development of a QA/QC and inspection program which meets each projects owner's contract requirements. 
  • Ensure that all personnel working on the project understands the construction methods and code requirements
  • Perform onsite field observation of installed work e.g. concrete, earthwork, structural steel masonry, air barriers, roofing, in-wall/above ceiling inspections, etc.
  • Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Record observations from job site inspections and complete inspection reports
  • Evaluate need for training and make recommendations to Wilhelm and its subcontractors
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work
  • Other duties as assigned by Company Management

What it takes

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or other related field 
  • Minimum of 3+ years General Construction work experience in lieu of a degree
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred
  • Microsoft Applications – intermediate to advanced knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Procore or other Construction Quality Software
  • Primavera P6 Scheduling Software
  • Viewpoint – intermediate knowledge
  • Bluebeam - intermediate knowledge

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may be done on a surface environment, at extreme heights, underground or above or under water
  • Work requires sustained physical effort, frequently under adverse weather conditions and/or disagreeable working conditions
  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock
  • Noise levels are typically moderate to very loud
  • Due to varied conditions, workers must know the hazards and safety requirements of each job and must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies for every situation.
