Software Project Manager


Location: Duluth, GA, Hybrid 2-3 days a week

Duration: 9+ month contract with possible extensions

Rate: $55- $65 hourly W2


Our client is looking for an experienced Software Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development initiatives. This individual will partner closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with a solid understanding of software development methodologies and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end software project delivery from initiation through implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and external vendors.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Track project progress and communicate status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Monitor project scope and manage change requests as needed.
  • Drive process improvements and promote project management best practices.
  • Support testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of software project management experience.
  • Experience managing software development projects in Agile and/or Scrum environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
