Job description

The Companion Animal Group Dx Business Unit PMO is seeking an experienced Senior Project Managerto join our team and contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives across our portfolio. This is a high-impact role at the center of a collaborative, mission-driven PMO - one that partners closely with global reference lab operations, enterprise programs, and cross-functional business teams to drive structured, successful project execution.

As aSenior Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through closeout, bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to complex programs. Your primary focus will be on Reference Lab initiatives - including lab deployment, enterprise transformation, Cx programs, and instrument implementation - while also contributing to broader CAG Dx BU priorities as capacity and business needsallow. This is a role where your ability to manage stakeholders, communicate with confidence, and drive accountability will be just as important as your project management toolkit.

In This Role, You Will...

Lead Project Planning and Delivery

  • Manage the full project lifecycle - from scoping and planning through implementation, closeout, and handoff - ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

  • Build robust project plans with clearly defined workstreams, deliverables, milestones, and resource assignments aligned to businessobjectivesand PMO standards.

  • Proactivelyidentifyand manage risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate whereappropriateand drivetimelyresolution.

  • Conduct assurance reviews and manage projectcloseout, including documentation, lessons learned, and transition to business as usual.

Engage and Align Stakeholders

  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans across a complex, matrixed organization - building strong relationships with business leaders, lab operations teams, technology partners, and others.

  • Lead project meetings and communications, driving clear decision-making, actionitemfollow-through, and effective escalation.

  • Prepare and deliver regular status updates, review reports, and presentations tailored to a range of audiences, from core teams to senior leadership.

  • Anticipate and balance competing stakeholder needs; manage expectations with transparency and confidence.

Manage Requirements and Change

  • Coordinaterequirementsgathering, analysis, documentation, and management across the project lifecycle.

  • Identify, manage, and control scope and project changes using established change control processes; obtain approvals asrequired.

  • Ensure project documentation meets organizational standards and any applicable regulatory or compliance requirements.

Contribute to Team and Portfolio Success

  • Lead and coordinate small to medium-sized project teams; communicate vision and outcomes, coordinate team actions, and build capability through coaching and mentoring.

  • Contribute to PMO continuous improvement by sharing insights,identifyingprocess opportunities, and supporting a culture of accountability and excellence.

  • Bring flexibility to work across Reference Lab and broader CAG Dx BU initiatives as capacity allows, supporting cross-training and portfolio depth across the team.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Experience & Education

  • 3-6 years of progressive project management experience, withdemonstratedability to independently lead complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices;proficiencyin project management and collaboration software (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).

  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, laboratory operations, or technology environments a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experiencerequired.

  • PMP or equivalent certification helpful but notrequired.

  • Location: This role is open to those driving distance to our Westbrook, Maine HQ, working in a hybrid capacity (approximately 8 days per month onsite)
