We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the embedded software for the Leo direct-to-device (DTD) payload system

This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence how quickly and reliably we deploy the DTD constellation and enable service to our customers.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will own the end-to-end technical program strategy for DTD payload embedded software, from architecture and design through verification and deployment.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager part of Amazon Leo DTD team, you'll lead technical program management of embedded software for the Leo DTD satellite payload, ensuring our Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) solutions perform flawlessly in real-world environments.
Drive programs from early architecture and design through integration and qualification testing, ensuring these critical systems meet performance, reliability, and schedule requirements. You'll develop mechanisms and processes connecting Leo engineering and business teams, software vendors and partners to build the Leo NTN solution.
Serve as the central program leader across a diverse set of cross-functional teams-from business development, communication systems, software engineering, to systems integration and test, manufacturing and production operations -to deliver payload software for Leo NTN solution.
Success requires deep technical judgment, strong program leadership, and the ability to drive alignment across complex engineering organizations

You will align teams across organizations, remove obstacles, and ensure complex technical programs move forward with speed, clarity, and accountability.
Develop and maintain program plans that track major milestones across feature development, design reviews, integration activities, qualification testing, and end-to-end network readiness. You will proactively identify technical and programmatic risks, build mitigation strategies, and communicate clear status updates to engineering leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment across the organization.
Help transition from early development of DTD payload software to large-scale DTD solution supported by the Leo DTD constellation, device ecosystem and core networks. You will collaborate with engineering teams, manufacturing and production operations as well as software vendors, and test equipment vendors to scale the production of DTD satellites

This includes managing performance, reliability, and test automation of payload embedded software.
