  • Proactively identifying the best technical approach to meet strategic goals - we value engineers who think, not just execute.
  • Performing rigorous code reviews and raising the technical bar across the engineering team.
  • Translating technical and business requirements into high-performance embedded C++ libraries.
  • Designing and implementing robust, efficient, well-tested, and extensible components across our core biometric authentication platform.
  • Leading, managing, and mentoring a cross-functional team of 11 Software Engineers and Data Scientists, with full disciplinary responsibility.
  • Fostering a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Translating business requirements and product needs into clear technical direction for the team.
  • Creating an environment where engineers grow, innovate, and do their best work.
  • serving as the Site Leader of our Austin legal entity for administrative and legal compliance purposes.

If you...
  • Hold a BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bring 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Have 4+ years of leadership experience with direct reports, incluiding disciplinary responsibility.
  • Demonstrate strong, proven expertise in C++ (ideally C++17) and preferably Python 3.
  • Have experience leading or managing a software engineering team.
  • Exhibit excellent analytical thinking and communication skills in English.
  • Are responsible, organized, and an exceptionally fast learner
  • Have experience with Git, Linux, CMake, and/or QML. (preferred)
  • Are familiar with embedded systems or computer vision domains. (preferred)
  • Have previous collaboration experience with Data Scientists or cross-functional R&D teams. (preferred)
