Job description

Overview

Responsible for maintaining and supporting the integrity of enterprise computer systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administers, installs, and troubleshoots a variety of operating systems and virtualization environments.
  • Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance.
  • Schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades.
  • Configures software and resolves technical problems.
  • Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements.
  • Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
  • Escalation point for IT operational issues related to server infrastructure environments.
  • Uses system orchestration tools and techniques to facilitate automated and consistent configurations, management, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual devices within the network.
  • Identifies and resolves issues by troubleshooting local and cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintains connectivity and virtual connections to public clouds such as Azure and AWS.
  • Works with others to create system strategy and architecture.
  • Communicates with network users as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and five (5) to ten (10) years of customer-facing support experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in network design and administration.
  • Experience working with WAN and SD-WAN implementation.
  • Experience working with Azure network design and implementation.
  • Experience working with Cisco network equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the following technologies: Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019/2022/2025, Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Exchange, Microsoft SCCM or Endpoint Management (Intune), Azure Arc, Azure, EntraID, and Azure Automation.
  • Experience with VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate task management priorities and issues.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, including the ability to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
