OVERVIEW
Union Home Mortgage's L.E.A.D Internship Program's goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.
A Technical Solution Analyst Intern works closely with the technical solution analysts, innovation team, business users, and other technical team members to implement, configure and maintain complex third-party software solutions that meet the business needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for assisting in the development of solution requirements, planning and executing implementation, and advocating concepts with internal business groups
  • Build relationships with business function partners, understand their objectives, and establish trust and dialogue on how to support those needs
  • Enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot existing applications with assistance from team
  • Assist business stakeholders in prioritizing project work, articulate clear prioritization and business justification to technology teams and convey IT constraints and dependencies to business users.
  • Effectively communicate across business and technology teams to define project goals and objectives, solutions, and constraints
  • Take part in the development and maintaining of strong partnerships with software providers, including vendor selection, contract/SLA management, operational support and influence future roadmaps

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to write effective data and process documentation (including business and system requirements, business process diagrams and data flow diagrams).
  • Detail oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take ownership of a project and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet established deadlines.
  • Appetite for learning new systems and technology for future incorporation or integration to the loan production solution set

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in in CIS or MIS, or equivalent
  • Previous professional work experience (internships, other jobs, etc.)
