Description:
Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 2 to support the integration and operation of software within high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
This role focuses on mission operations infrastructure, including automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency of systems supporting critical workloads. The ideal candidate will support software integration efforts while troubleshooting customer use cases and ensuring reliable system performance across Linux-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, integrate, and maintain COTS and GOTS software in heterogeneous environments
  • Support HPC systems and applications to ensure continuous mission operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and configuration issues across Linux-based platforms
  • Support infrastructure automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency efforts
  • Assist with customer use case configuration and issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or C
  • Utilize automation frameworks such as Salt and Ansible
  • Maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
  • Use version control tools such as Git-based repositories (e.g., Gitbucket)
  • Collaborate with teams using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Slurm for workload management

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (5 additional years of experience may substitute)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience supporting software integration in Linux-based environments
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, SLES, Ubuntu) and scripting/programming (Python, Bash, C)
  • Experience with automation, monitoring, and infrastructure tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt, Nagios/Thruk, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
