What You'll Do:
As PMO Manager for the Americas, you will oversee the management of one or more energy projects, reporting to the Head of PMO. You will lead project processes and the PMO team, working closely with Business Unit project teams and shared services to ensure successful implementation of project management tools and processes throughout all project stages. Your responsibilities include administering the PMO, supporting consistent project execution and reporting, and upholding Northland's strong health and safety culture.
This role is based in Toronto and requires working from the corporate office at least four days a week under our hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of PMO in developing and implementing project management strategies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and teams.
  • Act as a key interface between project teams and senior management by providing clear insights into project performance (e.g., schedule, cost and risk).
  • Monitor project performance and identify emerging risks or deviations, working with project teams to develop mitigation actions where required.
  • Serve as PMO Manager for projects in various stages of development and execution ensuring that project controls, reporting, and governance processes effectively support project delivery.
  • Conduct project reviews and audits for PMO compliance.
  • Work with the project and PMO team(s) to continuously improve PMO processes, reporting structures, and tools.
  • Capture lessons learned and support the integration of these, to enhance the project management lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings and incorporate team feedback into planning.
  • Collect and analyze project data in collaboration with other functions.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting records
  • Train and support team members on PMO tools and processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working in project management.
  • Experience in leading projects and project teams.
  • Solid understanding of core project management disciplines, including schedule management, cost control, risk management, and project reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with project data to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of project management software and tools. Experience with Primavera is preferred.
