Job description

Assistant Electrical Project Manager

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $96,000 – $120,000 annually
Travel: Travel as needed to support project requirements (project start-up, site visits, progress reviews, and closeout activities). Travel is not typically extended or week-long assignments and is generally scheduled based on specific project needs. Details will be discussed during the interview process.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support the successful planning, execution, and completion of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen project delivery, client communication, budgeting, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, project management experience, and the leadership skills necessary to support field teams while maintaining excellent client relationships.

This role will support projects across commercial, industrial, federal, VA, federal prison, and state-level construction work.

Project locations may include Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico, with travel required as needed to support active and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with estimating and bidding electrical construction projects.
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage project reports and documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project budgets, track costs, and help ensure projects remain on budget.
  • Coordinate with field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to support project success.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges while maintaining schedule and quality standards.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, procurement, and closeout activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing project management best practices.
  • Travel as needed to perform project-related tasks including site visits, project kickoff, progress reviews, and closeout support.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Credentials

  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience within the electrical industry.
  • Current Journeyman Electrician License.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and project execution.
