We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with Workday Financials expertise to join our team. This role will involve leading and coordinating a large-scale enterprise system implementation focused on Workday Financial Management and Procurement. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP project management, finance and procurement processes, Workday Financials architecture, and stakeholder collaboration, along with a passion for delivering secure, scalable, and compliant enterprise solutions.

Location: Hybrid, Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6 Months+
 
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to provide leadership and oversight for a complex Workday Financials implementation project. The selected candidate will work closely with finance, accounting, procurement, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery from planning through post-production stabilization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • PMP Certification (required)
  • 5+ years of experience leading medium to large-scale IT/ERP projects
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing server-based application development or enhancement projects
  • 3+ years of experience with Workday Financials
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, procurement processes, and financial reporting structures
  • Experience with ERP integrations and enterprise system implementations
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, and collaboration tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing vendor-driven implementation projects
  • Prior experience in large enterprise or public sector environments
  • Hands-on familiarity with Workday Financial Management and Workday Procurement
  • Experience working in outsourced or multi-vendor environments
  • Strong experience in finance process optimization and strategic sourcing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate Workday Financial Management and Procurement projects, including implementations, integrations, enhancements, and optimization initiatives
  • Provide full lifecycle project leadership across Workday Financials modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Procurement, Banking & Settlements, and Financial Reporting
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement leadership to align system design with accounting policies, approval workflows, purchasing processes, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with Workday functional teams, integration developers (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors), and third-party vendors to deliver scalable solutions
  • Track project milestones including configuration, data conversion, integrations, testing cycles, and production readiness activities
  • Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-implementation stabilization
  • Facilitate business process analysis and redesign focused on Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), supplier management, and financial reporting optimization
  • Conduct status meetings, manage risks and issues, monitor timelines, and communicate project progress to stakeholders
  • Maintain strong working relationships with leadership teams, implementation partners, and internal project stakeholders
