What's the opportunity?

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps & Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer to drive DevOps, CI/CD, release automation, and Quality Engineering practices for Salesforce applications within RBC Insurance Technology.

This is a senior hands-on technical role requiring strong expertise across Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD, Quality Engineering, test automation, and release management. The successful candidate will work closely with Salesforce development teams, architects, QE teams, Product Owners, and technology partners to improve engineering efficiency, automation, quality, and release reliability.

Strong Salesforce experience and hands-on experience with Flosum or a similar Salesforce DevOps platform are mandatory.

What will you do?

  • ExecuteDevOps and Quality Engineering activitiesfor Salesforce applications.

  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimizeSalesforce CI/CD pipelines.

  • Drive Salesforce deployment and release automation usingFlosum or similar Salesforce DevOps tools.

  • Manage and improveSalesforce source control, branching, metadata management, environment management, deployments, and release processes.

  • Build and enhance automated quality gates across the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Define and implementend-to-end QE and test automation strategiescovering functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing.

  • Drive increasedtest automation coverageand integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual deployment and testing activities through automation.

  • Troubleshoot complexSalesforce deployment, pipeline, integration, environment, and test automation issues.

  • Partner with developers and architects to improve engineering practices and shift quality and security earlier in the SDLC.

  • Support release planning and production deployments and proactively identify release risks and dependencies.

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and best-practice recommendations to DevOps, QE, and development teams.

  • Establish and track engineering metrics such asdeployment success rate, automation coverage, pipeline reliability, defect leakage, and release quality.

  • Identify opportunities to leverageAI/GenAI within DevOps and QEto improve test generation, defect analysis, automation, and engineering productivity.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 8+ years of experienceacross DevOps, Quality Engineering, software engineering, or test automation.

  • Strong hands-on experience withSalesforce development and delivery ecosystems.

  • Strong hands-on experience withFlosum or similar Salesforce DevOps toolssuch as Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge ofSalesforce CI/CD, metadata deployments, source control, environment management, branching, and release management.

  • Hands-on experience designing and maintainingenterprise CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong experience withGit and source-control/branching strategies.

  • Strong Quality Engineering background with hands-on experience intest automation.

  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, andAPI testing.

  • Experience integrating automated tests andquality gates into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills across pipelines, environments, deployments, and application integrations.

  • Strong understanding ofAgile/Scrum and modern SDLC practices.

  • Ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives and provide technical direction to engineering teams.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across development, architecture, QE, business, and technology teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Salesforce certifications.

  • Experience withSalesforce Financial Services Cloud and/or Experience Cloud.

  • Experience withGitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, or equivalent tools.

  • Experience implementingSAST/DAST and security quality gateswithin CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with performance engineering and performance test automation.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience

  • Industry certifications (ISTQB, CSTE) a plus

  • Experience with API and enterprise integration technologies.

  • Experience applyingAI/GenAI to DevOps and Quality Engineering use cases.

  • Experience withinfinancial services or insurance technology
