Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot process issues, optimize workflows, and support the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate applies strong technical and analytical skills to design tooling and fixtures, improve process efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. This position balances day-to-day sustaining engineering support with project-based work on process upgrades, equipment installations, and manufacturability improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and tooling
  • Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support new product introduction by evaluating designs for manufacturability
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
  • Specify, install, and qualify new equipment and tooling
  • Monitor process performance metrics (yield, cycle time, scrap rate) and identify improvement opportunities
  • Completion of time studies
  • Collaborate with quality engineering to resolve non-conformances and support corrective action processes
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) or equivalent work-related experience.
  • 2–5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience, preferably welding and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and root cause analysis tools
  • Experience with CAD software and manufacturing documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
