Job description

We are looking to add a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support Special Operations.

Responsibilities What you'll do:

  • Play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and demonstrating feature-rich mission planning applications that support the nation's most elite special operations warriors
  • Work with your team to test, develop, peer review, and continuously integrate changes into the code base
  • Conduct research for, report on, and create proof-of-concepts and prototypes for modern ways to support next generation aviation mission planning
  • Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible

Required Qualifications We need someone who:

  • Has a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field and at least 6 years of experience
  • Has a background in developing mission planning applications for USASOAC, with specific focus on supporting the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment
  • Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, or Typescript
  • Is a motivated and energetic developer that manages time well and can prioritize tasks to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Engages with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation

Preferred Qualifications Bonus points if you:

    • Have experience using Windows Presentation Foundation for .Net Desktop Development
    • Have experience using Web frameworks such as React, Node.js, Vue.js, Next.js, ASP.NET, or Angular
    • Have any experience developing cross platform applications using Kotlin Multiplatform or .Net MAUI
    • Have examples of code or applications you've built that we can check out
    • Can demonstrate proficiency with AI-Assisted software development workflows
    • Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications
