The Video Applications team continues this legacy, shipping best-in-class video products including Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, iMovie, and more. We're looking for a strong senior software engineer to help develop these applications and deliver the next generation of features that empower creative professionals worldwide.
Description
As a Software Engineer on the Video Applications team, you'll design and implement high-quality features that directly impact millions of creative professionals. You'll tackle complex technical challenges across our video editing applications, working with cutting-edge frameworks and technologies on both iOS and macOS. Collaborating closely with engineers across the Video Apps teams, you'll contribute to initiatives that push the boundaries of what's possible in professional video editing on Apple devices.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of software engineering experience with SwiftUI/Swift or UIKit/AppKit
3+ years of proven experience working with Objective-C
Strong understanding of software engineering and computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
Track record of technical excellence, exemplifying "what good looks like" in code, documentation, and engineering practices
Proven ability to break down large features into practical, implementable solutions
Experience working on large, cross-functional, multi-team projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a highly collaborative environment
Self-directed problem solver who can work independently and drive initiatives to completion
Preferred Qualifications
Customer focus and ability to make high-quality, user-centric product and technical decisions
Experience creating and refining APIs for adoption by other teams and developers
GENUINE PASSION FOR PROFESSIONAL CREATIVE TOOLS AND WORKFLOWS
Familiarity with video editing, media processing, or graphics programming!
