Job description

Toyo Tanso USA is seeking a Data Systems Engineer to support and enhance the critical data infrastructure that powers our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving business systems, and developing applications that make a real impact.

You'll work across databases, ERP integrations, reporting systems, and internal software while partnering with multiple departments to ensure our data remains accurate, reliable, and accessible. If you have strong SQL and Python skills and enjoy building practical business solutions, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Data Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal business applications, backend services, and automation tools using Python, C#, SQL Server, and IIS.
  • Monitor data flow between ERP systems, databases, and reporting platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database, application, and data integration issues.
  • Perform routine data validation, updates, and corrections to maintain data accuracy.
  • Support application and database deployments following change management procedures.
  • Develop and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
  • Support reporting systems by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies.
  • Test and validate system changes prior to production deployment.
  • Maintain technical documentation for databases, applications, interfaces, and system architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and business processes.
  • Assist in modernizing legacy applications and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help ensure consistency and synchronization of data across multiple business systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience developing applications and automation using Python.
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server development and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning)
