Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack / Cloud
Overview / Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and products. This role will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including software architecture, application development, testing, deployment, APIs, microservices, web-based interfaces, and application performance.
The role will work closely with product leads, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop production-ready solutions, troubleshoot application and performance issues, and identify opportunities to adopt new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers to understand use cases, pain points, and requirements and advocate for user-centric software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deliver software applications using appropriate tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Assess application requirements and determine suitable technology stacks, integration methods, and deployment strategies.
  • Create high-level software architecture designs outlining application structure, components, and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, architects, product leads, and business stakeholders.
  • Define and implement software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain back-end applications, APIs, and microservices using server-side technologies.
  • Create user-friendly and interactive web-based interfaces.
  • Continuously improve application performance and optimize software solutions.
  • Implement new technologies and capabilities to improve development efficiency.
  • Apply software development practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Support security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization.
  • Manage application environments, including servers, databases, configuration, and security, in accordance with best practices.
  • Troubleshoot application and performance issues in GCP.
  • Complete hands-on coding assignments on time and with quality.
  • Work with product and business teams to develop solutions and break requirements into incremental, production-ready user stories.
  • Identify opportunities to adopt emerging technologies to address current and future business needs.
  • Develop technical capabilities and provide guidance to other team members.
  • Develop software tools related to test data management using industry standards and practices.
  • Participate in solutions involving new technology stack layers and emerging capabilities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT.
  • 4+ years of software development experience.
  • Practical experience in two coding languages or advanced practical experience in one coding language.
  • Experience with GCP Cloud Run.
  • Experience with J2EE.
  • Experience with Angular.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with BigQuery.
  • Experience developing and working with microservices.

Preferred Skills
  • SonarQube.
  • GitHub.
  • Jira.
