Software Engineer - Full Stack
Overview / Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and products. This role will work across the full software development lifecycle, including software architecture, application development, testing, deployment, performance optimization, and maintenance.
The position involves developing both front-end and back-end components, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering scalable, secure, reliable, and user-friendly software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers to understand use cases, pain points, and requirements and advocate for user-centric software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and products.
  • Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using Angular and related technologies.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Assess application requirements and determine appropriate technology stacks, integration methods, and deployment strategies.
  • Create high-level software architecture designs defining application structure, components, and interfaces.
  • Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL.
  • Implement event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging using Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Leverage Redis for caching, session management, and application performance improvements.
  • Deploy, monitor, and manage applications and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
  • Define and implement software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the full stack.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability best practices are followed.
  • Support security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization.
  • Continuously improve application performance and optimize development processes.
  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities into software solutions.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Follow software development practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and listen to others.
  • Work effectively in an Agile development environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Practitioner-level experience with at least one coding language or framework.
  • Strong experience with Java.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Angular.
  • Experience with JavaScript.
  • Experience developing responsive web applications.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
