Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and implement full-stack services that are reliable, maintainable, and secure
โ€ข Work within an event-driven microservices architecture
โ€ข Write integration and unit tests that give the team confidence in what ships
โ€ข Participate in design reviews - bring your own proposals, push back when something is wrong
โ€ข Debug production issues and own the fix end to end
โ€ข Write documentation that your teammates will actually use
โ€ข Participate in on-call rotation and support incident response for features you own
โ€ข Collaborate with SRE and security engineers to ship software that's operationally sound
Qualifications:
Required:

โ€ข Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed system trade-offs
โ€ข US citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status (Public Trust eligibility required)
Preferred:
โ€ข Have been a solid backend or full stack engineer at a product company or startup and want to work on software where the mission is more meaningful than the business model
โ€ข Have built things in open source, side projects, or hackathons that demonstrate you can design and build real systems
โ€ข Have a strong computer science foundation and solid professional experience, and want a team that will invest in making you better
โ€ข Are a full-stack engineer who wants to go deep on backend systems and distributed architecture
