KPMG is currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) to join our Trade and Customs practice.
Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients across various industries on Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) implementation, operations, and compliance matters
  • Conduct quality reviews of trade compliance tasks and processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations
  • Lead and manage project engagements, including team assembly, oversight of work, and full engagement responsibilities
  • Support the development, training, and mentorship of delivery center staff and interns as part of the FTZ service team
  • Guide clients on U.S. Customs and Border Protection and participating government agency requirements for FTZ import, entry, and export transactions
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, maintain active client communication
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Additional Responsibility for Senior Manager:
  • Manage risk, financial performance, and identify new business opportunities

Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in trade compliance, with a focus on FTZ solutions and consulting
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university; Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) issued by U.S customs and Border Protection, CUSICO (Certified U.S. Import Compliance Officer), CUSECO (Certified U.S Export Compliance Officer), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification issued by the National Custom Broker and Forwarder Associate of America, in addition to other on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of FTZ processes, compliance activities, PGA reporting, and import/export regulations (for example: Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, free trade agreements, entry, valuation, and compliance methods); experience with FTZ Inventory Control and Recordkeeping Systems and/or FTZ processing preferred. Exceptional and in-depth experience with U.S import and export control regulations with the ability to address complex matters, practical and operational advice and solutions
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access for import/export data review
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
