Job description

SUVI Global Services is looking for a Software Engineer - Team Lead to support IT across all DoD OIG networks. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!
Responsibilities
  • Support the design, development, modernization, and sustainment of secure applications across DoD OIG's hybrid IT environments, including implementing cloud-native and cloud-agnostic solutions, supporting application re-hosting, re-factoring, and re-architecting efforts as part of cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable code using Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and RMF standards.
  • Performing unit and integration testing, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and contributing to the development of technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and database administrators to ensure seamless deployment and operational continuity.
  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and secure coding practices in multi-domain environments is essential.
  • Software Development work to include:
    • Full-Stack Application Development: Architect, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance web applications and microservices using a diverse stack of modern and legacy frameworks.
    • DevOps & CI/CD Automation: Design, implement, and manage automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using YAML, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and GitLab to ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
    • Cloud Infrastructure Engineering: Provision, configure, and manage cloud environments (Azure) utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, specifically employing Bicep, ARM templates, and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
    • Containerization & Microservices: Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes. Manage API lifecycles utilizing API Gateways and Swagger documentation.
    • Data Integration & Analytics: Design relational database schemas, optimize SQL queries, build automated data pipelines (SSIS), and integrate business intelligence solutions via Power BI.
    • Low-Code Integration: Leverage the Power Apps platform to rapidly develop business process automation and integrate with custom-built enterprise systems.
    • Package & Configuration Management: Manage enterprise software dependencies and artifact repositories using NuGet, Azure Artifacts, and Chocolatey.
  • Refactoring and rearchitecting legacy .NET application to Native Cloud application such as but limited Azure App services, Power Apps and Azure Function etc.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to the migration of legacy applications to modern, cloud-native architectures.
  • Implement and enforce DevSecOps practices within a highly regulated or government environment.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems spanning multiple technology stacks (from frontend UI to backend databases and cloud infrastructure).
  • Act as team lead for 6 other System Engineers.

Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6-8 years IT experience.
  • Active IAT Level II certification.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Preferred major in Information Technology.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals; Certified Secure Software Lifecycle. Professionals; Certified Scrum Developer.
  • Extensive experience with technical proficiency in the following technologies, languages or frameworks:
    • C#, Java, ASP.NET, .NET MVC, Entity Framework.
    • Angular2+, AngularJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, (X)HTML, CSS, Knockout.
    • Azure, AWS, Bicep, ARM Templates, general Cloud IaC, Desired State Configuration (DSC).
    • Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, YAML CI/CD pipelines, Git version control.
    • Docker, Kubernetes, API Gateway, Swagger (OpenAPI).
    • SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
    • NuGet, Azure Artifacts, Chocolatey.
    • Power Apps Platform, Power BI.
