Job description

Role Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with business and product teams to establish requirements of cross-border money transfer ecosystem (8%).
  • Assess business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards (8%).
  • Design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process (16%).
  • Apply Agile Methodology daily and follow Definition of Done (DOD) process for better quality by maintaining 80% of unit test coverage and 70% integration overage (8%).
  • Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts (10%).
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code adhering to established coding standards and best practices (8%).
  • Actively participate in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to design principles and quality guidelines (8%).
  • Apply secure coding principles and practices throughout the development lifecycle to mitigate security vulnerabilities (8%).
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of software design patterns and principles to create efficient and resilient solutions (8%).

Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Application, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 7 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/job title/position implementing backend solutions.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Application, Electronic Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/job title/position implementing backend solutions.
  • Must also have experience in the following:
    • 5 years of professional experience utilizing computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/D).
    • 5 years of professional experience utilizing Modern Programming Languages (including Java or Python) and design patterns.
    • 5 years of professional experience utilizing HTTP, XML, and JSON.
    • 4 years of professional experience utilizing Agile Development Methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).
    • 3 years of professional experience assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
    • 3 years of professional experience utilizing unit testing and mocking frameworks to ensure code quality and maintainability.
    • 3 years of professional experience utilizing AWS Cloud Services including EC2, S3, EKS, and API Gateway.
    • 3 years of professional experience utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Kafka, SOAP & RESTful web services.
    • 3 years of professional experience developing data-ingesting applications using an industry standard Relational and NoSQL database including Oracle and Redis Cache.

Salary: The on-target earnings range is $163,550 - $242,614 per year. This includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
