What is a software engineer software developer?

Software engineers and software developers are professionals who design, create, test, and maintain computer software. While the terms are often used interchangeably, software engineers typically focus on applying engineering principles to the entire software development process, including system architecture and design. Software developers are more focused on writing code and building applications based on specific requirements.
