CPC is currently seeking a Traffic Engineer/Project Manager to join our growing Deerfield Beach office. The successful candidate will play a key role in all phases of transportation projects for various public and private-sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Traffic Engineer / Project Manager will support and lead a variety of transportation and municipal engineering projects, with responsibilities including:

  • Preparation and oversight of traffic engineering studies and design
  • Conducting traffic signal modeling using industry-standard software
  • City and corridor transportation studies
  • Signing and Pavement Markings Design
  • Roadway Lighting Design
  • Develops, coordinates, and completes the final design and the preparation of plans, specifications, and studies associated with traffic signal design work
  • Assists with the training and development of professional and technical staff
  • Oversight of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Assists with business development efforts, including proposal support and client relationship management

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
  • An active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (P.T.O.E.) preferred, not required
  • 5-10 years of experience in transportation engineering with FDOT and Municipal projects.
  • Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, Microsoft Office Suite, SYNCHRO, SIMTraffic, and CORSIM.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines and budget constraints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports and coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies
