Auria is looking to hire an Algorithm Software Engineer to support the C2BMC program. This position is ON‑SITE in Huntsville, AL and will be a key contributor to the design and development of Java‑based mathematical algorithms supporting C2BMC.

What You Will Do
  • Generate software design artifacts and implement Java‑based software changes.
  • Support design and code reviews, and aid in software testing and issue resolution.
  • Present developed designs.
  • Actively participate in Agile planning and execution using established C2BMC processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 5 years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant work experience, OR 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree.
  • Current, active in‑scope DoD‑issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs.
  • Experience with full life‑cycle development, Java application development, Unix/Linux, mathematical algorithm implementation, Agile development, MATLAB, DevSecOps, and systems integration.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work with cross‑disciplinary teams—Systems Engineering, Integration & Test, Deployment, and Warfighter Support—to ensure mission success.
Preferred
  • Current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher at the time of application.
  • Experience in full life‑cycle development of complex mathematical algorithms (tracking, correlation, guidance, battle management, radar management) for Java‑based military applications.
  • Experience developing software within an Agile process, decomposing work, and providing active leadership during sprint planning.
  • Experience developing software in a structured, process‑driven, integrated team environment.
  • Experience in a DevSecOps framework for Java applications on Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Experience with Git/GitLab, Eclipse, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube or similar toolsets.
  • Experience developing automated unit tests and verifying requirements.
  • Experience reviewing system engineering artifacts such as ICDs, use cases, and sequence diagrams.
  • Experience creating software design artifacts and presenting design materials and test results to internal and external customers.
  • Potential to implement MATLAB algorithms before integrating them into tactical Java software.
  • Experience in the BMDS domain.
  • Experience in developing Command and Control system applications and conducting software integration testing.
Pay Transparency

Salary range: $110,000 – $125,000, based on qualifications, skills, education, and experience.
