Overview Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to support anti-tamper and product security solutions for advanced aerospace and defense platforms. This role will focus on embedded software development, secure computing, and protection of critical military systems and technologies. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs. * Support embedded software and firmware development for avionics and real-time systems. * Integrate hardware and software security solutions for aerospace defense platforms. * Collaborate with engineering leads, customers, subcontractors, and multi-site technical teams. * Support cybersecurity, anti-tamper, and secure computing initiatives across the product lifecycle. * Develop maintainable, readable, and reliable code for mission-critical systems. Required Qualifications * Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance (REQUIRES US Citizenship) * Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field. * 5+ years of overall engineering experience. * 2+ years of software development experience in avionics, real-time embedded systems, or firmware. * Experience developing in C/C++, Ada, and/or Java. * Experience with Ada coding for safety-critical systems. * Experience with embedded software development in C/C++. * Ability to write code focused on usability, readability, and maintainability. Preferred Qualifications * Active Secret Clearance * 9+ years of overall engineering experience. * 5+ years of avionics, embedded systems, or firmware software development experience. * Experience with GitLab, Jira, Agile, or lifecycle configuration management tools. * Experience in DevSecOps environments. * Knowledge of cybersecurity, secure computing, anti-tamper, cryptography, or security protocols. * Python automation and unit testing experience. * Technical leadership experience across multi-disciplinary or multi-site teams. Ideal for an embedded software engineer with aerospace, avionics, cybersecurity, or anti-tamper experience supporting mission-critical defense systems.
