Job Overview

Senior Test Software Engineer – responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining software within on‑site factory support of test systems. The role supports product testing, including both engineering and production test equipment, environments, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using the organization’s software style, development language, and IDE.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary engineering teams, supporting all stages of test product development.
  • Actively uncover and resolve issues in test system development and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain ATE (Automated Test Equipment) test software for factory/production environments.
  • Support cradle‑to‑grave activities: requirements, design, integration, validation, verification, and maintenance of test software.
  • Prioritize, handle, and lead multiple tasks in a production environment.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware for test equipment development.
  • Communicate with engineering, functional, and program leadership.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or advanced degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience, or advanced degree with minimum 3 years.
  • Experience developing and integrating software using C, C++, C#, NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or similar test software programming languages.
  • Experience developing automated test stations/systems.
  • Experience with ATE test software requirements, design, implementation, integration, validation, and verification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Development and maintenance experience with ATE GUI/TPS test software.
  • Knowledge of Git/GitHub configuration management.
  • Experience in Agile software development environments.
  • Cross‑platform development support for Windows and Linux OS.
  • Experience with Wind River vxWorks, Linux embedded OS, and file transfer protocols for firmware loading and data capture.
  • Knowledge of FPGA code development.
  • Experience with Wind River Workbench, Tornado, Xilinx Vivado, Xilinx SDK, JTAG interfaces, and tools for software, firmware, and BSP programming.
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
