Job description

We are looking for passionate problem-solvers to join us as Senior Software Engineers. Whether your expertise lies in distributed backend systems, modern frontend frameworks, or cloud infrastructure, you'll find opportunities here to make a massive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Innovate:Design complex, scalable, and maintainable software features across various architectures (including microservices, DDD/CQRS, and event-driven systems).

  • Collaborate:Work closely with solution managers, designers, and peers to translate requirements into technical specifications that align with our mission.

  • Optimize Performance:Analyze technical challenges, identify system bottlenecks, and author technical documentation to optimize large-scale transactional processing.

  • Elevate Code Quality:Facilitate code reviews, advocate for rigorous testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end), and champion modern development best practices.

  • Embrace AI:Leverage AI tools and platforms (like developer copilots) as an integral part of your daily workflow to enhance decision-making, code quality, and productivity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 4-6 years of relevant software engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

We operate across a wide variety of tech stacks to solve complex problems.You do NOT need experience with all of these to be a great fit.If you are highly skilled in a few of these areas and have a strong foundation in software engineering, our recruiting team will work with you to find the WellSky team that best aligns with your background!

  • Backend:.NET/C#, Python (Django/Flask), Java, or Ruby.

  • Frontend:Modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.

  • Cloud & Infrastructure:GCP (preferred), AWS, Azure, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes/Helm.

  • Architecture & Data:RESTful/GraphQL APIs, event-driven messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ/PubSub), and relational/cloud databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, BigQuery).

  • AI Tools:Experience or strong interest in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code).

  • Domain Knowledge:Healthcare tech interoperability (FHIR, HL7, HIPAA, EMR), medical claims, or payroll accounting.

Job Expectations:

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed

  • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information

  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
