Software Engineer, Kubernetes Mission Applications

In this role, you will help design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application deployed in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment. Here's What Your Day-to-Day Could Include
  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Project Software Engineers to deliver new capabilities
  • Build and maintain Python services in a Linux environment
  • Design and implement REST interfaces that support mission workflows
  • Develop Bash and Python scripts to automate supporting tasks and processes
  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and sustain containerized services
  • Create and maintain Helm charts to support clean, repeatable Kubernetes deployments
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and source-controlled team workflows
  • Help improve application reliability, maintainability, and deployment efficiency

Minimum Qualifications
  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
  • Master's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Or bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Or seven years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Required Skills
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and tool suite
  • Experience developing Bash and Python scripts
  • Experience developing with Python in a Linux environment
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Experience creating Helm charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
  • Experience with SQL technologies such as MySQL
  • Experience designing and implementing REST interfaces
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI

Compensation Range: $155,000.00 - $205,000.00
