Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for managers and employees under the direction of the local HR Director.
- Assist in resolving workplace issues and fostering a positive work environment.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions.
- Conduct employee eligibility verifications and background checks.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Maintain accurate records in HR Information Systems.
- Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies and practices for compliance.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
