Job Description

The AI Portfolio Co-op will support the AI Capabilities & Enablement (AiCE) team in managing and advancing a portfolio of AI, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives that enhance business performance and user experience across field, marketing, and commercial functions. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to AI product strategy, portfolio management, capability enablement, and organizational transformation within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The co-op will assist with portfolio planning, project tracking, and governance activities across multiple AI and GenAI initiatives, helping ensure priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and business outcomes are effectively documented and communicated. They will support the development of executive-ready materials, roadmaps, status updates, and reporting artifacts that provide visibility into portfolio health and strategic progress.

Working cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, technology teams, marketing partners, field enablement leaders, and business stakeholders, the co-op will help coordinate project activities, gather requirements, document business needs, and support launch readiness efforts for emerging AI capabilities. They will also contribute to change management and adoption initiatives by helping develop communications, training materials, and stakeholder engagement plans that drive awareness and utilization of AI solutions.

Additionally, the co-op will assist in analyzing portfolio performance metrics, user feedback, and adoption trends to identify opportunities for optimization, continuous improvement, and future investment. By combining analytical thinking, organization, and strategic problem-solving, the AI Portfolio Co-op will play an important role in helping AiCE scale AI-powered capabilities that enable smarter decisions, improved productivity, and greater business impact.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in AI, Marketing, Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate ideas, insights, or technical concepts into clear, fieldready or marketingready content.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams (e.g., marketing, analytics, technology, or commercial partners).
  • Interest in Generative AI, digital tools, or emerging technologies and how they can be applied to marketing and field enablement.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fastpaced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a preference for being onsite a minimum of two days per week in the Durham, NC office.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours per week) throughout the duration of the 6 month co-op (~October 2026 ~ April 2027).
  • Must have active student status and/or be within 12 months postgraduation from a BS or MS degree program. Postdoctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communications skills-position will communicate across several business areas and levels, and must be comfortable with reducing complexity of technical answers to straight-forward language.
  • Focus on problem solving - Position will face a variety of challenges that will require unique solutions.
  • Relationship building - Position will interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining relationships will be critical to the success of the role
  • Analytical abilities - Strong Excel skills and familiarity with utilizing tools (PowerBI) and/or languages (Python/SQL) to quickly parse large datasets to identify insights, issues, or trends.

  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

Benefits
  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position. 
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
  • This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

    In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.

    • Pay Rate Range: $22/hr to $43/hr
