Project Engineer

Job Description

The Project Engineer will provide technical project coordination and leadership within multidisciplinary teams. Working closely with hardware, software, electrical, and systems engineering groups, this role ensures that project objectives are met, technical deliverables are completed on time, and customer requirements are fully addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and technical objectives to support effective project execution and solution development.
• Coordinate systems, hardware, and software engineering activities to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule and within scope.
• Track, manage, and support the completion of technical deliverables across the entire program lifecycle.
• Facilitate clear and timely communication between engineering teams, project leadership, customers, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Support project planning activities, including resource utilization, workload prioritization, and schedule development.
• Develop, maintain, and review technical documentation and project records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential technical issues or risks, and help drive resolution of technical challenges.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to ensure successful product build, integration, and delivery.
• Participate in technical reviews and customer discussions, providing project support, status updates, and technical input as required.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in engineering processes, tools, and execution practices to enhance efficiency and quality.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience planning and coordinating engineering projects, including schedule, budget, resources, work allocation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, military, or naval industry.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role in ottawa

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, ON.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
