To thrive as a Software Engineer, you need strong programming skills, a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, and typically a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with development tools, version control systems like Git, and frameworks such as React or Node.js, as well as relevant certifications, are commonly expected.
