    • Mentor and manage a team of software developers
    • Set clear goals, provide guidance, and ensure deadlines are met
    • Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment
  • Keeping the Lights On:
      • Ensure the stability, reliability, and continuous operation of software systems
      • Address any technical issues promptly to minimize downtime
      • Collaborate with other departments to meet service-level agreements
    • Performance Evaluation:
      • Evaluate team members’ performance regularly
      • Identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback
      • Implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) when necessary
    • Collaboration:
      • Collaborate with PMO, architects, product owners, scrum masters, and other stakeholders
      • Escalate risks and concerns effectively and timely
    Qualifications:
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 10 years in software development experience within information technology in a highly regulated field such as insurance or finance.
      • 5 years minimum within a management role
    • Technical Expertise:
      • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and web technologies
      • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, Azure services)
    • People Skills:
      • Excellent supervisory and communication abilities
      • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams
    • Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
