Location - Phoenix AZ
Duration - 11 months
Position Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
    Act as a liaison between IT and the user community to identify areas of efficiencies, manage Corporate Initiatives and Industry Mandates, test and implement changes/enhancements related to Revenue Accounting processes.
    Responsible for ensuring data integrity and SOX compliance related to Revenue Accounting systems and interfaces.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Prepare business requirements documentation, test application changes and perform quality assurance across impacted financial systems.
    Prepare cost benefit justification for new projects and/or enhancements
    Improve revenue accounting efficiency and controls
    Ensure interfaces and system requirements (across multiple systems) comply with Sarbanes-Oxley controls as well as internal and external requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
    Undergraduate degree in CIS, MIS, CE or equivalent experience/training.
    At least 3 years experience in airline industry, preferably with accounting systems
    Experience with a variety of technologies including DB2/COBOL, WEB, INTRANET, JAVA, UNIX, Oracle, SQL/PL/SQL
    Proficient in PC based applications, including MS Office, Visio, Project, and Audit Command Language (ACL)
    Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, planning and organization skills
    Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within organization
    Ability to manage multiple projects, shift priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
