Job Description

The Integration Engineer 1 supports Sightlineโ€™s rapid-response and technical investigation efforts across customer integrations, defense opportunities, prospective technology partners, and new products. This is a handsโ€‘on, entry-level engineering role focused on technical research, problem solving, prototyping, testing, and implementation.

Working under the direction of the Integrations Engineer โ€“ USA Team Lead, this role investigates technical questions and develops solutions that enable the lead and other internal stakeholders to respond quickly to customer and business needs.

  • Rapid Response (~30%) โ€“ Investigate customerโ€‘reported technical issues and integration requirements provided by the team lead; reproduce problems, research solutions, and develop and test potential fixes or integrations.
  • Defense Opportunities & RFPs (~25%) โ€“ Review vetted technical requirements and RFPs, investigate feasibility, identify technical gaps, and support prototypes, demonstrations, and technical responses.
  • Partner Investigation (~20%) โ€“ Evaluate prospective technology partners, APIs, SDKs, hardware, and integration approaches; document findings and develop proofโ€‘ofโ€‘concept integrations as needed.
  • Product Investigation (~20%) โ€“ Research and test new technologies and products that may complement or extend Sightline capabilities; evaluate technical fit, limitations, and integration requirements.
  • Software Engineering Support (~5%) โ€“ Provide development, testing, debugging, and other engineering support as team priorities require.
  • Clearly document technical findings, recommendations, and test results for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, sales, technical support, and other internal teams as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Entryโ€‘level to 2 years of relevant professional, internship, academic, or project experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with Linux and software development/debugging fundamentals.
  • Ability to quickly learn and evaluate unfamiliar technologies, APIs, hardware, and software systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, research, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable moving between multiple technical projects and changing priorities.
  • Experience with embedded systems, computer vision, video processing, networking, APIs, or AI/ML is beneficial but not required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a fullโ€‘time basis.
