Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Specialty Software Engineer to support the maintenance, modernization, and migration of legacy Smalltalk-based applications within the Credit Card Services domain. This role involves working on a 30+ year-old enterprise system as part of a multi-year transformation initiative planned through 2027-2028. The ideal candidate will have expertise in legacy-to-modern platform transitions, with a focus on migrating to a Java-based architecture.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support legacy Smalltalk applications (Cincom environment).
  • Contribute to the modernization and migration of applications to Java-based frameworks.
  • Work across four core components spanning two enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system transition and operational continuity.
  • Support ongoing enhancements within a call center/credit card servicing environment.

Qualifications:
  • Level 3: 5+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering.
  • Strong experience with Smalltalk (Cincom Objects) for application support and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Java for modernization and migration efforts.
