This role will office on-site in Plymouth 4 days / week and have the ability to work remotely 1 day / week.
The Full Stack Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom software and web solutions for both internal and client-facing applications. This role blends advanced back-end engineering, modern front-end development, and complex system integration-including APIs, SSO, and enterprise workflow automation. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in user experience, process automation, and digital marketing technology, leveraging SeaChange's platforms such as the MIS (Management Information System), GATHER Portal, and other internal workflow systems.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable web and software applications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop programs and applications using knowledge and experience in .NET/C# and MVC.
  • Implement modern, responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, frameworks like React, and standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Leverage current versions of Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, and other similar databases for backend development.
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices.
  • Build, manage, and deploy client API (e.g., REST) and SSO integrations.
  • Build and support GATHER and SeaChange MIS integrations.
  • Develop and automate omni-channel marketing campaigns, including email, SMS, and web-based workflows.
  • Create automation for data-driven programs.
  • Strong aptitude for innovative thinking and problem solving as it applies to automating and streamlining workflow processes.
  • Strong skills in modern user interface design for web-based applications.
  • Understand and adhere to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodology and protocols for system development.
  • Maintain and update existing SeaChange-developed systems and web properties.
  • Create and maintain project, code, and software documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for continued process automation through dev solutions.
  • Leverage approved AI tools to enhance, automate and accelerate development cycles, ensure code accuracy & security, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new programs and deliver innovative solutions to client challenges.
  • Ensure code quality through best software development practices, documentation, version control (e.g., Git), and collaborative code review.
  • Work with the Lead Developer to provide both software and process improvement recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
