Software Engineer II React/.NET & MES Applications

Location: Perrysburg, Ohio

Join our growing software engineering team supporting business-critical applications used across global operations.

We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer with strong experience developing modern applications using C#, .NET, React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and SQL Server. The selected engineer will design, build, enhance, and support multi-tier applications across the full software development lifecycle.

Many of these applications support manufacturing operations and Manufacturing Execution Systems, or MES. Prior MES, manufacturing, shop-floor, PLC, or operational technology experience is highly valued, but it is not required.

The most important requirement is a strong software engineering foundation, combined with the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems, business processes, and technologies. The selected candidate will receive support in learning the manufacturing and MES environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-stack engineer who wants to apply their software development skills in a complex, highly visible operational environment.

What You Will Do
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support new and existing software applications.
  • Build modern, multi-tier applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and SQL Server.
  • Develop responsive, scalable, and user-friendly front-end applications using React.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into well-designed software solutions.
  • Create application workflows, technical designs, data models, database structures, and integration specifications.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, system integrations, messaging solutions, and interfaces with internal and third-party systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Provide advanced production support and serve as an escalation point for critical applications.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, developers, infrastructure teams, database administrators, and external partners.
  • Participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, releases, and retrospectives.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated software-delivery processes.
  • Provide hypercare and post-production support following releases.
  • Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies that can improve development speed, software quality, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar platforms, when appropriate.
  • Explore practical opportunities to apply AI, large language models, or AI agents within development and operational workflows.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least four years of professional software development experience using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • C#
    • .NET and ASP.NET
    • React
    • JavaScript or TypeScript
    • SQL Server
    • T-SQL
  • Experience designing and developing multi-tier, object-oriented applications.
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end and back-end application architecture.
  • Experience designing database structures, queries, stored procedures, and application data models.
  • Experience developing or supporting APIs, integrations, messaging, or system-to-system data exchange.
  • Strong understanding of the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
  • Experience with Git or another enterprise source-control platform.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause-analysis skills.
  • Experience supporting production applications and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong learning agility and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technologies, platforms, and business processes.
