Job description

We’re currently seeking a Real Estate Development Project Manager to join our Headquarters team!

The Project Manager, Development, oversees the planning and execution of real estate or infrastructure development projects from concept through completion. This role is responsible for managing schedules, budgets, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful project delivery. The Project Manager works closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to navigate approvals, design, and construction phases. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the development lifecycle.

What You Will Do:

Project Planning and Execution: 

  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules for development initiatives.
  • Oversee project milestones from feasibility through construction turnover and support construction and project closeout.
  • Ensure alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.

Stakeholder and Team Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate decision-making processes.

Regulatory and Permitting Oversight:

  • Manage entitlement processes, including zoning, permitting, and environmental approvals.
  • Liaise with local agencies and jurisdictions to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Track and report on permitting timelines and requirements

Risk Management and Reporting:

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare regular status reports for leadership.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready

How You Will Shine: 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Development, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience (4+ years).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in development project management.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore).
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-phase development projects.
  • Familiarity with entitlement, permitting, and construction processes.

License:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Real estate development certification is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing development projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong understanding of real estate, construction, and regulatory processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
