Roadway amp; Land Development Project Manager (Florida PE) - Fort Lauderdale

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Roadway amp; Land Development Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead a variety of municipal infrastructure projects – including roadway, utility, and site development improvements. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of our highly qualified, collaborative, and motivated team that makes a difference for local governments and the communities they serve.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Manage roadway, transportation, traffic, land development, and site development projects throughout Southeast Florida.
  • Serve as Project Manager and Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
  • Prepare, review, sign, and seal engineering plans, specifications, reports, and supporting calculations.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables while maintaining quality and profitability.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams through planning, design, permitting, and construction.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, FDOT, developers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to successfully deliver projects.
  • Attend client meetings, public presentations, and project coordination meetings.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineering staff.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal engineering standards.

  • Complete Streets and multimodal transportation projects
  • Commercial and residential land development
  • Site development and permitting
  • Municipal Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects
  • Stormwater and drainage improvements associated with roadway design
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of roadway and site development design principles.
  • Knowledge of FDOT Design Manual (FDM), Florida Greenbook, MUTCD, and applicable municipal engineering standards.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or comparable engineering software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Education amp; Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing engineering projects and serving as Engineer of Record.
  • Experience signing and sealing engineering plans for completed projects.
  • Strong experience with roadway, transportation, traffic engineering, land development, or site development projects.
  • Experience working with municipalities or public agencies in Florida strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDOT standards, local government review processes, and South Florida permitting requirements preferred.
