Job Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside a Project Manager committed to EHRAโ€™s role of creating community use areas; assisting the Project Manager in the development of construction drawings for commercial development projects, minimizing impacts and maximizing site usage. As an APM you will provide oversight on projects while mentoring upcoming team members.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing projects and plan development for multi-family, commercial/retail, industrial, and other types of projects.
  • Responsible for concept development and participate in the design analyses, independently evaluating, selecting, and applying engineering assessment for potential tracts.
  • Able to attend and conduct meetings successfully with clients, team members, and reviewing agencies with minimal assistance from a Project Manager.
  • Build relationships with clients, community leaders and government officials.
  • Execute client project requirements to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Manage the work of CAD Drafters/Designers and Engineers to ensure accurate and quality plan production.
  • Oversee and mentor the development of staff within their project team.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Attention To Detail- Job requires being careful and thorough about detail in completing work tasks.
  • Complex Problem Solving- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Engineering and Technology- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of company services.
  • Dependability- Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
Education, certification and experience:
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the state of Texas.
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree (or higher) in Engineering or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid TX Driverโ€™s License and ability to operate a motor vehicle may be requested.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD software.
